Origin Story
From Faisalabad
to the World
Zakir Hussain is an internationally recognised fashion designer and creative director, born and based in Faisalabad — the Manchester of Pakistan. Known as the heart of Pakistan's textile industry, Faisalabad shaped his deep understanding of fabric, craft, and the raw material that drives fashion. The brand was formally established in 2026 with a singular mission: to place Pakistani fashion on the global stage without compromising cultural identity or environmental integrity.
In 2024, HAS Handicrafts was established as the creative vehicle behind the brand — a design house built on the philosophy that handcraft, heritage, and sustainability are not constraints but competitive advantages. Under HAS Handicrafts, Zakir began bringing original collections to international runways, debuting at LA Fashion Week US in 2024.
What followed was a rapid global presence — Paris Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, Miami, the Cayman Islands, and Aberdeen. Each runway was a statement: that Pakistani craft belongs on the world's most prestigious stages, and that sustainable fashion can be both artistically uncompromising and globally celebrated.
